May whatever god or gods you fool yourselves into believing in take care of you mad souls who live in California. Can't we just cut it off and give it back to Mexico already?

So my unemployed housemates, who are here all the time and contribute almost exclusively to the mess around here, are pissy and moany about the place being unkempt. I bascially sleep here, and I clean up whatever mess I make. It's beyond them to understand I won't pick up after them- I did that for long enough before. Thankfully, this place is plenty big enough that I can avoid them. In other news, California is on fire. I can't for the life of me understand the lure of California, but maybe there is some charm of the place I'm missing. I mean, it's full of quite seriously mentally unstable people- look at who they elect to represent them; someone who can't even pronounce the name of the state. It has two seasons- green and brown. Then, you have wildfires, which are rampaging now. Whatever doesn't burn in the summer (or green season) wildfires, slides off the mountains in the winter (brown season) rains and flooding. What manages to not burn or float away gets levelled by earthquakes. Anything that remains is either A) a city with toxic air full of nitric acid (no, air is not supposed to be brown) or has a Spotted Owl living in it, so you have to stay 25 miles away. Bunch of damn lunatics living in that state. Ugh.
