Eh, all the fish are dead again... this is getting to be a damn expensive hobby. To add insult to injury, the tank overfilled before I could get to it, and the carpet is more than just a bit damp right now. Timmah. The rest of the day had best go smoother... I did get to solve a Diablo II crisis, so I feel a bit useful. The people upstairs are apparently into rhinoceros wrestling- there's only one person who can possibly imagine how loud these bastards are, and she escaped home for a visit and is missing all of it (not that I don't think she'd trade places mind you- going home isn't always fun). I'm going to find 10 of the fattest, non-sedentary people I can and have them move in upstairs from them so they understand what loud really is. Ugh.

In my quest for a new job, I'm glad I have not heard this from anyone: "My advice - pick a new profession. Something simple. Perhaps - a Wal-Mart greeter. Your qualifications are almost adequate for that."

I took the time out today to drive up to the Kancamagus Highway in NH today, as it was about 65 degrees and sunny out today- perfect for a good long drive. The highway and pass were nearly deserted, which is what I was hoping for, though temps up in the White Mountain National Forest were closer to 40 than 65- such is life. There is still ice and snow up there, and Bear Notch Road (which goes from the Kanc over the mountains into Crawford Notch and which I would have loved to have driven) was still closed and gated (it's not maintained in the winter, but is a fantastic drive). The RS and I had a damn good time (white-knuckled at some points... I should learn to not drive right on the limits of traction all the time I guess)- 32 miles each way through the pass, with lots of technical turns and elevation changes. I took quite a few photos, which will be up in the Photos section at some point soon. I need to leave earlier and bring more weather-tolerant clothes this weekend, and hit some of the locations like Sabbaday Falls and Lincoln Woods off of the Kanc in the National Forest. Long drive there from here but certainly worth it. If you live within 200 miles I'd say come for a drive, but try for weekdays instead of weekends... too many people spoil the drive and pack into the scenic spots on the weekends. You don't want to see the Kanc when the leaves change color in the fall, trust me.

This guy rambles on more than your average senile old grandfather does, but it's some interesting stuff. Timecube

Macaroni and cheese from Boston Market- is there anything in the world better than this stuff? The warm cheesy goodness is enough to make me giggle like a schoolgirl (well, not really, but you get the idea). If there is anything better than this stuff, I would honestly be suprised. Granted, it's a whole inter-language battle to get anything from the Boston Market near where I work, but it's worth the struggle. Of course, if you're lactose intolerant you won't be agreeing with me as this stuff could make you ill/kill you, but for anyone who isn't afraid of death by cheese, go get some.

I feel ick today... reminds me of the line from Spaceballs- "Water my ass! Bring this guy some Pepto Bismol!!!" That stuff is atrocious in and of itself though... I'd rather feel stomach sick than drink that evil pink concoction.

To begin with, I'm not a huge console gaming fan (the last console I bought for myself was a replacement 8 bit, old school, ghetto graphics NES). However, I got my friend a PS2 for her birthday, and she picked up Virtua Fighter 4. Having not played 1-3 myself whereas she has, I got my ass beat- repeatedly (she let me win a few I think). I cannot begin to describe A) how much fun this game is (even when you are loosing- repeatedly) and how intense the graphics are. Leaves in the ring move, snow is brushed aside as you fight... incredible game I must say. Boku funky.
